Many children in Guatemala would like to attend school but for financial reasons cannot. School is free but there are many costs attached to it. Books, backpack, school shoes, tennis shoes and other costs. This puts sending a child to school out of the range of many families. Our school sponsorship project costs $150 US. per year for elementary school students, $350 for middle school and $450 for high school.
There are some schoolchildren waiting for a sponsorship to be able to attend the 2009 schoolyear.
