Supporter Appreciation: Dr. Richline Offers Medical Services to Mayan Families
Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Amannda Richline as a visiting physician to help out with our Medical Program. Dr. Richline is a renowned podiatrist from New Jersey who regularly goes on medical mission trips to Haiti and recently decided to take her talents to Guatemala - lucky for us! Her assistant, Sarah, an additional medical resident from Haiti, Peter, and her husband, Ted were also helping out by her side. In addition, Dr. Richline worked with our resident podiatrist, Dr. William Boegel, and our two clinic nurses.

Dr. Richline ventured out with the medical team to see patients in the villages of San Jorge, Chuk Muk, as well as at our offices in Panajachel. She was able to help several patients with conditions that included arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome. Her team not only brought a generous supply of medicine and bandages for our Charlie Gomez Medical Clinic, she brought near 1,500 pairs of shoes for adults and children that were distributed to extremely impoverished students and families in Chuk Muk.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Richline and her staff for taking the time to work with us in Guatemala. We appreciate your help more than you know and hope to see you again soon!
